WhatsApp has added a new notification that will show up on your phone whenever you have the WhatsApp Web client open on your computer, and the messaging app open on your handset. Because the WhatsApp client shows on your computer screen everything you are doing with the app on your phone, it might be important for you to know if you've left the client open. If you've left your computer on with the client open, someone could start checking out your messages.Clicking on the notification will close the WhatsApp Web client on your computer, eliminating the risk. The notification cannot be disabled, and on Android it shows up on the notification bar with the same icon used to denote a message. That is sure to confuse Android users who could understandably think that they have unread messages to view on the app.

For those who missed the news, WhatsApp Web is an extension that allows you to sync your WhatsApp account on your computer.
