Motorola XFON for AT&T lands at FCC, to feature blazing 5G Wi-Fi plus NFC radio

After leaking some mid-tier benchmarks, the first joint Google-Motorola device, dubbed the X Phone, was caught passing through the FCC approval process with AT&T frequencies onboard, just as speculated, though we've heard it will be landing on other carriers as well.In the @evleaks tip we were sent recently the label on the back confirmed the handset is codenamed Ghost, just like it is referred to in the benchmarks, and was labelled XFON, which might land as the official title. Now the FCC filing adds a few things to the specs revealed by the benchmarking exercise - coded as XT1058, Motorola's XFON aka Ghost handset will feature blazing Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, similar to the Galaxy S4, Bluetooth and NFC. 

The cited resolution of 1196 x 720 pixels hints at on-screen navigational buttons, as we would expect from a Google-sponsored phone, and the FCC stamp featured prominently on the back cover of the device typically indicates the phone has a sealed battery compartment, otherwise it is usually put inside under the removable battery cover.
