Google Pixel 3a leaks in Avengers-inspired 'Not Purple' color with snazzy yellow accent

It's a relatively well-known fact that Google likes to have fun with the paint jobs and branding schemes of its Pixel smartphones, releasing the first generation back in 2016 in "Quite Black", "Very Silver", and "Really Blue" hues, followed by 2017's "Just Black", "Clearly White", and "Kinda Blue" Pixel 2, and finally, last year's "Just Black", "Clearly White", and "Not Pink" Pixel 3.Although the oft-rumored and thoroughly leaked Pixel 3a and 3a XL are not technically the Pixel 3 and 3 XL's sequels, aiming to expand the appeal of the handset family for a more budget-conscious audience, it seems Google will carry on this unusual tradition of multiple color options with silly names. In addition to black and white variants (likely to be called "Just Black" and "Clearly White"), we're almost 100 percent certain already that the upcoming mid-rangers have a purple flavor in the pipeline. You can thank serial leaker Evan Blass, aka @evleaks, for this previously unknown nugget of information, backed up with a high-quality render showcasing the rear panel of one of these two purple phones. Of course, much like the "Not Pink" Pixel 3 and 3 XL, this doesn't feature the brightest, most eye-catching shade of purple. The dual-tone design and snazzy yellow power button should still help this particular Pixel 3a model easily stand out from today's pack of eerily similar mid to high-end devices, but unfortunately, it doesn't sound like Google will be pricing these "Lite" variants very aggressively. It remains to be seen if a somewhat predictable "Not Purple" branding will be adopted here, as recent tie-in promotions with Marvel's Avengers franchise might open interesting opportunities for Google to further stand out. This definitely seems like a long shot, but the Pixel 3a could borrow the name of Iron Man and Captain America's greatest foe. Granted, Thanos has a slightly darker purple skin tone, but coincidences like this are, well, rarely just that. So, who's excited to snap their fingers and buy a swanky "Thanos Purple" Pixel 3a?
